2020 AMFDP Annual Meeting via Zoom
Dr. El-Aswad is privileged to be presenting on the topic of physician burnout at the prestigious AMFDP (Harold Amos Medical Faculty Program) annual meeting.
“The Harold Amos Medical Faculty Development Program of The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, formerly known as the Minority Medical Faculty Development Program, was created to increase the number of faculty from historically disadvantaged backgrounds who can achieve senior rank in academic medicine, dentistry, or nursing and who will encourage and foster the development of succeeding classes of such physicians, dentists, and nurse-scientists.”
Dr. El-Aswad will be discussing the latest research and data on physician burnout, COVID-19, and the impact of these 2 epidemics on the healthcare industry, physicians, and nurses. He will be stressing the importance of the pathophysiology, as well as some solutions including, but not limited to, emotional intelligence, wellness and self-care, leadership, resilience, and coaching.
