Part 2 of my interview with Dr. Taylor as we discussed:
(1)The professional wellbeing of our physicians and their care teams is driven primarily by the Organizational culture and efficiency of practice.
(2)You cannot manage what you cannot measure. Organizations committed to the wellbeing of their physicians and care teams need to deploy validated survey instruments for burnout and leadership effectiveness.
(3)The journey to transformation requires a commitment to ongoing learning and growth for our physician leaders. There are several evidence-based coaching and development programs for our leaders and our clinical care teams both to empower them as problem solvers and to honor their resistance when going through transformational change.
